Football; Jagielka - Hodgson could be key Centre-half hoping new boss brings success

Phil Jagielka is hoping that Roy Hodgson proves to be the 'missing ingredient' for England as they look to end their long wait for international success.

The Three Lions head to this summer's European Championship free of the expectation that has held them back so often in the past.
Those inside the camp believe that could play into their hands, while a change in the dugout is also being billed as a blessing in disguise.
Hodgson's appointment as successor to Fabio Capello has taken England in a different direction and offered a clean slate to those who have underachieved at past events.
Jagielka, who has been drafted into the Three Lions' 23-man squad for Euro 2012 following an unfortunate injury to Gareth Barry, is confident the right man has been placed at the helm.
